1. Medium characteristics

1.1 Different types of solenoid valves should be selected for quality gas, liquid or mixed state. For example, ZQDF is used for air, ZQDF-Y is used for liquid, and ZQDF-2 (or -3) is used for steam, otherwise it is easy to cause malfunction. The ZDF series multi-function solenoid valve can pass air and liquid. It is best to inform the media status at the time of order so that the installation user does not need to adjust.

1.2 Products with different specifications of medium temperature, otherwise the coil will burn out and the seals will age, which will seriously affect the life span.

1.3 Medium viscosity, usually below 50cSt. If it exceeds this value, use ZDF series multifunctional solenoid valve for special order if the diameter is larger than 15mm. Order high viscosity solenoid valve with diameter less than 15mm.

1.4 When the cleanliness of the medium is not high, a recoil filter valve should be installed in front of the solenoid valve. When the pressure is low, a direct-acting diaphragm solenoid valve can be used as CD-P.

1.5 If the medium is in directional circulation and does not allow reverse flow, ZDF-N and ZQDF-N units require bidirectional circulation, please make special requirements.

1.6 The temperature of the medium should be selected within the allowable range of the solenoid valve.

NO.2. Pipeline parameters

2.1 Choose valve port and model according to medium flow requirements and pipeline connection mode. For example, for switching from one pipe to two pipes, choose CA5 and Z3F for small diameters, and ZDF-Z1/2 for medium or large diameters. Another example is to control the confluence of two pipelines, please choose ZDF—Z2/1, etc.

2.2 Select the nominal diameter according to the flow rate and the valve Kv value, and the same pipe inner diameter can also be selected. Please note that some manufacturers do not mark the Kv value, and often the valve hole size is smaller than the interface pipe diameter.

2.3 Working pressure difference If the minimum working pressure difference is above 0 or 04Mpa, the indirect pilot type can be selected; if the minimum working pressure difference is close to or less than zero, the direct-acting type or the stepwise direct type must be selected.
